ROAD SAFETY PATROL

Distractions on road and haste to reach our destination, be it while walking or driving have resulted in fatal road accidents leading to loss of many precious lives. In order to bring awareness on traffic rules and to spread the message of keeping Road Safety Rules, Seminar was conducted on 24^th August 2016 in the school auditorium.

          A Road safety patrolling team of students from classes 6^th, 7th, 8^th, 9^th and 11^th were formed .They were further divided into 3 different groups named as SAFETY SQUAD, ROAD ROVERS & ROADIES.

           Each of the groups were given two aims, which was supposed to be achieved in 10 days, who would keep a check on usage of helmet , documents, Traffic Signal, Speed and Sign and Uniform of Bus Drivers in the school.

          Students were shocked to see clippings of some fatal accidents, recorded on the cameras at cross roads and intersections. These accidents were due to the carelessness of the riders who weren’t abiding the rules and regulations on roads.

          There was also a display of road safety sign which are silent speakers to the road users .Road Safety tips for cyclist, pedestrians two wheeler riders and school going children were explained. Emergency care tips and numbers were informed to them. Driving Licenses, Insurance of the Vehicle and Pollution under control certificate are mandatory documents to be carried on road. The Road Patrolling Team of St. Montfort School is enlightening their friends to help in the smooth running of traffic within the school campus as well as outside.
