St. Montfort School, Patel Nagar, Bhopal, was
founded in April 1997 with the objective of delivering quality learning and a
holistic approach towards education under the aims and guidelines of the
Society of Brothers of St. Gabriel.
C.B.S.E. recognizes the school as an unaided English
Medium, co-ed Christian minority school. The admission process follows the age
criteria set forth by the government.
The school
opened its doors on July 1, 1997, to welcome 130 smiling, enthusiastic, and
eager students from classes KG to IV, under the leadership of Rev. Bro. Philip
Thadathil, Principal, accompanied by nine dedicated & passionate teachers
commuting by two school buses & a matador from all over Bhopal. The school
was blessed by the most reverend Archbishop of Bhopal, Rev. Fr. Pascal Topno,
and was officially launched by the Hon'ble Minister of Education, Madhya
Pradesh Mr. Mukesh Nayak.
With the passing of the days and years, the school
expanded with all its might, reaching new heights by consistently producing
excellent academic results and co-curricular activities. The enthralling
Institution fascinated the entire populace of
Bhopal and attracted admissions quickly in just a few years.
The school has
been actively involved in the Bharat Scout and Guide Movement and more than 50
students have received President and Governor Awards. In addition, the school
hosts 7 major inter-school tournaments for Bhopal students. Intra-class competitions
are also held in the form of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
The school is actively committed to social service
and has employed 13 Balwadies, 4 tailoring centers, Computer Education, Dropout
Centers, and other services through St. Montfort Community. The school also
organizes community events and free 2nd shift classes for the
children of peasants from adjacent villages to help the village youth.
The school community left no stone unturned in order
to deliver the best learning possible during times of stress. The
children and school community's adaptation to a rapid change in the entire
Education System are noteworthy.
The school provides an
education that values and develops each student's full development. The school
strives to instill a love for quality, integrity, fraternity, a sense of
purpose, and respect for oneself, others, and the environment in its pupils.
We currently have 3394
kids in the Montfort family studying English Medium from Kindergarten to XII,
206 students in the 2nd shift, and roughly 450 students, mostly
girls, trained in various skills through our community initiatives.
