"A PARENT IS A TEACHER AT HOME AND A TEACHER IS A PARENT IN SCHOOL AND THE CHILD IS THE CENTRE OF OUR UNIVERSE"
Under the able guidance of our Principal Rev. Brother T. Alex, an orientation programme was organized for the parents of X standard students at St. Montfort Sr.Sec.School Bhopal, on Saturday 1st July. The aim was to familiarize the parents “partners in progress", with the curriculum rules and regulations of the school, teaching methodologies and the changes made by CBSE in the format of examination, its pattern and syllabus.
The programme commenced with the warm welcome to the parents by the senior coordinator Mrs JyotiVibin which was followed by a prayer song. The school Principal addressed the gathering in which he laid stress on effective communication between teachers and parents and also sought their support and suggestions so that the child could be provided with the best. He suggested the parents to understand the child's calibre and ask them to choose their careeraccordingly, instead of pressurising them to pursue only Maths and Science. He also informed the parents about the starting of Compulsory Remedial classes for students on Saturdays, in which students would be provided with worksheets to solve in the guidance of subject experts and can clear their doubts.

Later the teachers gave an over view  of various subjects  like  Mathematics, Science, Social science and English , in which they explained subject wise exam  pattern,marking scheme  and the schedule of examination for the session.It wasfollowed by a session taken by the School Counsellor, Mrs Reena Rajput, who guided the parents about various life skill and the proper nutrition for the teenage students.
The orientation programme proved to be a sincere effort made by the school in informing the parents about the change in the syllabus for the final examination along with other internal examinations and teaching strategies.
In all it was a fruitful meeting and the parents were in high spirits after attending the orientation programme.
