Perception has always stated mathematics to be difficult .The primary reason for this state of mathematics learning today is the significant gap between content and pedagogy, and in order to improve the learning of mathematics ,it is imperative to bring about a change in the way Mathematics is being taught.
St.Montfort School, Bhopal, under the able guidance its Principle Rev. Brother T.Alex is always visionary about future and hence keeps on organizing seminars and workshops.
Feather was added in the cap when a maths workshop was organized in the school premises on28.07.17 where an international resources person, Mrs. RashmiPillai from "The Indian High School" Dubai took the workshop on the topic;
"Different strategies used in teaching mathematical concepts"
Various activities were organized under this workshop.All the activities were based on how to understand the situation and learning of a child, Mrs. RashmiPillai explained through many teachers to make the base strong,concepts clear and to ask children to frame questions from solution given.
Overall it was a fruitful workshop,which all the teachers enjoyed.
