The 7th Montfort cup Inter-school Debate competition was held in St. Montfort School premises on 1 August, 2015 in which 13 reputed schools of Bhopal including the host, St. Montfort School participated. The programme started with a tribute to our great missile man Late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and with a prayer song taking the blessings of God. The judges of the occasion were Mr. NeerajPatharkar and Mrs. Daman Deep KaurGulati, both Professors in the Department of Education in “The Bhopal School of social sciences”. The topic of the debatewas “SHOULD COMPULSORY MILITARY TRAINING BE INTRODUCED IN OUR EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION”. The students participated enthusiastically and expressed their opinions well before the judges. The speakers enthralled and kept the audience involved with their wonderful thoughts in words. At the end Carmel Convent School BHEL picked up the trophy for both the best speaker for the motion and against the motion. Ku.AfreenAsif was awarded the best speaker for the motion and the best speaker against the motion was awarded to Ku. ArushiKulshreshth. There was a scintillating dance performance by the students of the host school. At last the vote of thanks was delivered by the Principal of the host school Rev. Brother T. Alex.
